Glider flying Sat and Sun throughout the year and also on some weekdays during the summer. Grass areas poor in places, remain within the confines of the runways and taxiways. Runways marked with white sideboards. Avoid overflying BAe complex and the firing range. Circuits when available, at 1000' QFE, all LH except 13RH and 27R variable circuits.
Arrivals: Standard overhead joins, but when gliding in progress, pilots will be required to route via VRP's - Blue Lagoon
(140 deg M/2.25nm),Chcksands (300deg M/2.5 nm) or the Water Tower (060deg M/3.5nm).
Departures: Rwy 02 - Do not turn left before 700'; Rwy 31 - Turn 15deg left at 300' on climbout. Other runways standard departures.
Free-Fall parachuting may take place from 3500ft amsl and exceptionally upto FL150.
